SJax Happy at Karney Signing

No one is more pleased at the Rams’ signing of fullback Mike Karney than No. 39.

On his twitter feed this morning, SJax posted this response to the news of Karney’s arrival:

I love waking up to good news. We (Rams) just signed FB Mike Karney. Who says complaining don’t get u anywhere..Lol (joke)

AS ESPN.com noted, this will give Steven his first high-caliber blocking back since 2007:

The signing of Karney gives St. Louis a chance to be more successful in two-back formations. The 27-year-old Karney was named to the All-Pro team in 2006 when he played for the New Orleans Saints. The Saints released him on March 5, putting one of the league’s more respected fullbacks on the market. The Rams were quick to have him in for a visit.

The 5-foot-11, 258-pound Karney had 46 career starts in five seasons with the Saints.

So with this signing does that mean that you will be like you were in 2006 or the last 2 season that you were just on the field. The thing is that you could be a Hall of Famer, but I think that you heart is not in the game. You have a very good contract now(your getting paid). So are you going to be a elite back, or just another high priced player?

Wats good Steven Jackson, I’m one of your biggest fans man and I wanted to let you know a couple of things. I’m pretty sure you already know these things but I thought I’d just tell you anyways. Now that you have a good offensive line to work with, I feel another 2006 season coming but even better. Jason Smith was the best tackle in the draft and I know you were very excited when you guys drafted him and it doesn’t matter if he starts at right tackle or left tackle he will make an immediate impact. Jason Brown has the middle on lock, Alex Barron will be good at either tackle , and with Mike Karney to lead the way I see you doing big things for years to come. I always tell my friends “your the best all purpose back in the league” but they always say “your not that good in real life, just madden”. The reason they say that I because I’m always killing them in madden since 2005 when you were the back-up for Marshall Faulk til now in 2009 lol. I know your the best when it comes to running and catching the ball out of the backfeild and you will prove that this up coming season so I’m not worried about that, I just can’t wait for September to roll around. I’m not sure if it’s week 8 or week 9 that y’all play Detroit at Detroit but I’m going to make sure I get tickets to that game to watch you in person when you destroy that defense. The Lions have stepped up their line backing core but I know it’s nothing you can’t handle, and if I’m lucky I might get A chance to meet you and get your autograph and that would be one of the coolest things to happen to me. I know this message is long but I wish you and the rams the best of luck for the years to comeand get back at me if you can iight.
