Film & Video

Steven Jackson was one of the first professional athletes to pioneer the use of film and video production to build and shape his own brand. Beginning in 2009, Steven produced In the Life With Steven Jackson, a four-part web series that offered an in-depth look at his offseason training and goals for the coming season. He followed the success of the series with A Week in the Life With Steven Jackson (2010), a three-part web series that followed him through a week of the NFL season. A Week in the Life was one of five worldwide Webby Awards nominees that year for Best Online Sports Video, a tremendous honor for an athlete-produced online series. In 2015, Steven launched Save the Running Back, a series of comical videos focused on bringing attention to the declining role of the NFL running back. After launching, ESPN asked for permission to air the first video in the series; it was shown on ESPN’s signature show, SportsCenter, before an estimated viewing audience of more than four million viewers, and generated numerous articles across print and digital media.
