One hundred and twenty. That’s the magic number for SJax this weekend as he enters Sunday’s match-up in Atlanta against the Falcons.

With 120 yards on the ground in Week 17, No. 39 will reach 1,000 rushing yards for the fourth straight year — an astonishing achievement, given the setbacks and obstacles that Steven and his team have faced in 2008-09.

His chances look promising: the Dirty Birds have allowed an average of 122.5 rush yards per contest this season.

After churning out 108 yards on 32 carries last week, SJax looks to be more than capable of another big game.

Rams’ coach Jim Haslett said Steven “gutted it out” last week against the Niners after he tweaked his left hamstring near the end of the first half, but was able to return.

Haslett insisted SJ “looked OK” on Monday, putting all injuries concerns to rest for the time being.

NEXT UP
Steven and St. Louis take on Atlanta at 12 p.m. CST in the Georgia Dome. Neither team has much on the line, since the Falcons have already clinched the NFC Wild Card playoff berth, but No. 39 is a man on a mission.

Tune into FOX on Sunday at noon to root Steven on!
